The phone is also one of the most ergonomic device in the sub-15K category, offering a beautiful 5-inch 1080p display.
The Honor 6X may have dual camera, but it still stands next in line to the Nubia Z11 Mini as far as camera performance is concerned. The phone takes really good images in ample lighting conditions and also offers a nice ‘Bokeh’ mode for those portrait and macro shots. The overall performance of the phone however, is a little sluggish. Still, it won’t disappoint if you are a light smartphone user.
Coolpad Cool 1
If you want a dual camera phone, which won’t lag while gaming, the Coolpad Cool 1 is the one to go for. This budget segment smartphone is a improved version of the olf Le Eco Le 2 smartphone. It features a good display, has ample RAM and storage and is the fastest phone after the Lenovo Z2 Plus in the sub-20K category. The dual camera phone also take some really good pictures and lags just behind the Honor 6X in terms of camera quality.
The Gionee A1 is another good phone in the sub-20k smartphone segment which offers a good rear camera. The 13MP rear shooter is able to capture good images in all kind of lighting conditions. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC, which is not as fast as the Coolpad Cool 1, but does a decent overall job. The front facing camera is also quite good and is easily one of the best in its category.
The Oppo F3 is actually the best selfie centric smartphone you can buy under Rs. 20,000, but has a decent rear camera as well. The phone brings the same design and premium built we have seen on previous Oppo devices. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage on-board, which should be ample for most users. The display is also quite nice and the battery life is good enough for day’s worth of usage.
Lenovo Z2 Plus
The Z2 Plus is the latest entry in this list and has a lot to offer. The 13 MP rear camera on the phone using a Samsung ISOCELL sensor takes good images in normal light conditions. Images showcase good dynamic range, colour reproduction with a slightly aggressive sharpening. Low light images come out quite good as well but not the best. Besides that, it is the only phones besides the LeMax 2 to offer a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
Moto G4 Plus
The latest Moto G brings an all new 16MP camera to the table, which is easily one of the better cameras in its price category. The rear camera is aided by a dual LED flash and laser autofocus. Images are better detailed and colours look crisp and reasonably true-to-source. Low light images come out a little brighter as the software cranks up the ISO, without losing any detail.
Xiaomi Redmi 4
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 may be cheaper offering from Xiaomi, but it features an overall better camera than the Redmi Note 4. The phone features a newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC, which is available in various RAM and Storage configurations.The design of the phone has also been updated, improving its ergonomics. The fingerprint scanner is now standard across the range and you still get a stellar battery life.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
The bigger Redmi Note 4 does not have the best rear camera in the budget segment, but it’s not completely bad. The phone can capture some decent images in normal lighting conditions, but struggles in low light. The performance is again decent, thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC and like the Redmi 4 comes in multiple storage and RAM options.
