LG has launched the V30 flagship, the company’s latest attempt to break the high-end smartphone market dominated by the likes of Apple and Samsung. LG V30 was unveiled during the annual IFA tech trade show in Berlin.
LG V30 is aimed to those users who want a top-of-the-line multimedia experience, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which was unveiled last week in New York. The South Korean company claims the V30 will “set a new standard in the evolution of premium smartphones”. LG V30 succeeds the V20, which was the last flagship smartphone in the V-series
As widely speculated, the LG V30 smartphone ditches the secondary screen on top. However, to compensate for it, LG has introduced a floating bar and Always On Display (AOD) functionality. They provide shortcuts to apps. The floating bar can also be customised with user’s favourite apps.
Now that we know all there is to know about Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 8, all eyes are on LG to deliver a true competitor. LG has just taken the wraps off its new flagship smartphone, and it’s a true multimedia powerhouse. The LG V30 specs include a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of base storage, and dual 13 MP rear-facing cameras. With its 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and big 3,200 mAh battery, there’s not much LG left out of this new device. There’s also a new LG V30+ model that comes with 128 GB of storage if you need extra memory.
